Empowering refugee children for democratic process

As long as a healthy democratic process is not taught and practiced, the injustice on children at risk cannot be ended and peace in the community remains to be a distant achievement. Thus, being guided by the basic ethics of democracy from the people, by the people and for the people BRCF attempted to train the young stars about the healthy democratic practice. BRCF believes that tomorrow's society grows to be just and peaceful if children today are trained and empowered with the practice of the progressive democracy.

In BRCF, when a child reaches seven, he/s is eligible to be a member of BRCF and shoot their vote during election. Election is held every after one year where four children (2 male and 2 female) from each sub-sector are elected. All together 744 children between 7-18 year of age are enlisted as the executive members of B.R.C.F. The four children elected from each sub sector combine to form a sector forum. One male and one female are elected from each sector forum and they are called conveners. All the members from sector forum from each sector in each camp combine to form camp level children forum. Here a coordinator, secretary and treasurer with one each assistant are elected based on perfect democratic methods. And to coordinate all the camp level children forums, a 15 member Children Forum Central Committee is formed from the children, by the children and for the children of seven camps.
